Shooting the West Photography

By purchasing, downloading, or otherwise receiving photographs from Shooting the West, you agree to the following terms.

All photographs remain the copyrighted property of Shooting the West Photography and the photographer. Purchasing a digital image or print does not transfer copyright or ownership of the image.

Unless otherwise stated, purchased digital photographs include a personal-use license.

Personal Use

Personal-use photographs may be:

Downloaded and saved for personal use
Shared on personal social media accounts
Used as profile or cover photos
Shared with friends and family
Printed for personal display

Credit to Shooting the West is appreciated when posting online, but is not required unless otherwise specified.

Editing & Alteration

Please do not apply filters, presets, AI modifications, significant color changes, or other edits that materially alter the finished photograph.

Cropping or resizing an image as reasonably necessary for social media or personal display is permitted.

Commercial & Promotional Use

Personal-use purchases may not be used for advertising, sponsorships, merchandise, business promotion, publications, commercial social media campaigns, or other revenue-generating purposes without written permission from Shooting the West.

Businesses, brands, publications, event organizers, sponsors, competitors, and other commercial entities must obtain an appropriate commercial license before using an image.

Reproduction & Resale

Images may not be sold, sublicensed, redistributed as downloadable files, entered into stock libraries, used to create merchandise for sale, or otherwise commercially reproduced without written permission.

Watermarks

Watermarks, logos, signatures, or other identifying marks may not be intentionally removed from preview or watermarked images.

Screenshots of gallery previews are not licensed photographs and may not be used in place of purchased or authorized downloads.

Prints

Purchased prints are for personal display unless otherwise licensed.

Colors, brightness, cropping, and other characteristics may vary slightly between screens and finished printed products.

Shooting the West cannot guarantee the quality, color accuracy, or cropping of prints produced through third-party labs when customers print digital files independently.

Digital Purchases

Because digital photographs are delivered electronically and cannot practically be returned, digital image purchases are final once delivered, except where otherwise required by law.

If you experience a technical problem with your download or receive the wrong file, please contact Shooting the West so the issue can be corrected.

Image Availability

Gallery availability is not guaranteed indefinitely. Images may be added, removed, archived, or otherwise made unavailable at the discretion of Shooting the West.

Customers are responsible for downloading and backing up purchased digital files.

People & Minors

Photographs from public events may include spectators, competitors, staff, volunteers, and other individuals present at the event.

The purchase of a photograph does not grant the purchaser rights to another person's name, likeness, trademarks, logos, or other independently protected rights depicted in the photograph.

Fine Art & Limited Editions

Photographs offered as limited-edition artwork may be subject to additional edition-specific terms, including edition size, print dimensions, materials, numbering, signatures, and certificates of authenticity.

Those terms will be stated with the applicable artwork and take precedence where they differ from these general gallery terms.

Unauthorized Use

Use of photographs outside the license granted with the purchase may require an additional license and may constitute copyright infringement.

Shooting the West reserves all rights not expressly granted under these terms.
